Tour Manager Vacancies

 

The Arena Travel Group has been providing high-quality special-interest tours and holidays for more than 40 years. Still proudly independently owned to this day, the Group has developed its reputation for delivering a wide range of escorted quality holidays and river cruises including tours in the special interest hobby areas.

We are looking for passionate, experienced and confident Tour Managers to work on our river cruise and rail tours.  Our ideal tour managers must have drive to making customers holiday experiences truly unique and memorable.

As a Tour Manager you’ll become the face of the Company whilst on tour so it will be important for you to be able to have a friendly, approachable manner and the ability to make sure the guests have an amazing holiday.  Therefore, the following skills and experience are essential;

 

  • Excellent customer service skills & experience in a customer facing role
  • Passionate about delivering an excellent customer experience
  • Passionate about travel (specifically for river cruising and rail holidays)
  • Excellent communication skills with all levels of the business (including presentation skills)
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Ability to manage large groups of customers
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Good problem solving & decision making
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and during a crisis
  • Relationship building skills 
  • Ability to manage situations with disgruntled customers
  • Able to manage financial control for the tour
  • Good I.T skills
  • Flexible - and willing to travel
  • Can work using own initiative where required
  • Team player – to work together to achieve the same end goal
  • Language skills preferred however not essential

 

This is a contract based and seasonal role.
